Every Tuesday time tbd	Listen to The Bees Kim Flottum will be at the Observation Hive to answer question and talk about brood rearing, honey collection, blooming plants, the queen, workers, drones, etc. It'll last a half hour or so, so if you're in the neighborhood, stop by and join the conversation. Jul 16 (Wed) 7:00 pm	Honeybee Talk Kathy Summers will present a general talk about honeybees. This session is open to the public.	The Medina County Library
Jul 21 (Mon) 6:30 - 9:00 pm	Monthly Meeting Preparation for the Fair. We will be doing a thorough clean-up of the booth, organize the sales and display areas, hang up posters and beekeeping information, etc. Pizza and soda will be served. Please bring cleaning products to the meeting - brooms, pails, paper towels, rags, etc.	Building 5 in the Medina County Fairgrounds
Jul 24-27 (Thu-Sun) times pm	2008 American Honey Queen Rachael Seida, the 2008 American Honey Queen, will make appearances around Medina including at Root Candles and the Medina Honey Festival. She will be speaking about how honeybees are vital to a core part of the human diet. She will also share information about how honey can be healthy beyond the kitchen, host honey tastings, and share cooking demonstrations at the Medina Farmer’s Market. Jul 27 (Sun) 3:00 - 6:00 pm	Set-up Set up your entries for the County Fair and bring your honey and hive products for sale. All entries must be in on-time and in compliance with the Fair's rules. The building closes at 6:00 pm.	Building 5 in the Medina County Fairgrounds
Jul 28 - 3 Aug all day	Medina County Fair Buy and sell honey, candles and other bee products. Watch the bees in the Observation Hive. Extract honey from frames. Roll a candle. Learn about bees and beekeepers, their lives and equipment. Sample all the great honeys produced in our area. Taste the difference. Then go to see the rest of the Fair. 3 Aug (Sun) 8:00 - 9:00 pm	Tear-down and clean-up from the Fair Pick up your entries and any unsold honey	Building 5 in the Medina County Fairgrounds
Aug 18 (Mon) 5:00 pm - dark	Annual Picnic & Pot Luck dinner The club will provide burgers, bratwurst, and soft drinks, plates and utensils. Please bring a side dish or dessert. Spouses, families, and pets welcome. (Pets have to be kept on a leash.) If you like to fish, bring your fishing gear and bait. There is a nice pond and our picnic permit covers any necessary fishing licenses. We plan to have games like bean bag toss, horseshoes, croquet, and bocci ball (and prizes !).
