Honey Lemon Cookies

- 1/3 cup sugar
- 2/3 cup honey
- 1/3 cup shortening
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp lemon extract
- 2 -3/4 C. flour
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- Heat oven to 375.
- Mix sugar, shortening, honey, egg and lemon extract.
- Stir in remaining ingredients.
- Roll to ΒΌ" thickness on lightly floured board.
- Cut in desired shapes.
- Place 1β apart on lightly greased cookie sheet.
- Bake 7-8 minutes.
Yield: 1-1/2 dozen
